ChatCart Customer Onboarding Guide
This guide is for customers only. It explains how to choose a plan, create your account, set up your business workspace, connect WhatsApp, complete onboarding, and start using the platform confidently.

1. Before you begin
What you need
An active email address, your business name, owner name, business registration number, and access to the Meta or Facebook account that manages your business.
What happens first
You will choose a plan, create an account, create your workspace, and then complete guided setup inside the app.

2. Choose your plan and create your account
- Open the signup page.
- Select Starter or Growth.
- Enter your full name, email address, password, and confirm password.
- Click continue to move to workspace setup.

Password requirement: minimum 8 characters, uppercase, lowercase, number, and special character.
3. Create your workspace
After account creation, you will be asked to create your workspace.
- Business name
- Owner name
- Business registration number
- Selected plan
Your workspace slug and business registration number must be unique in the system.
4. Trial and billing confirmation
After workspace creation, the app takes you to the billing or trial confirmation step automatically.
Trial active: You can continue setup and use the app while the trial is active.
Trial expired: The app will limit access and guide you back to billing.
Paid subscription active: Full access is restored automatically.
5. Complete Getting Started
The Getting Started page is your onboarding checklist. It shows what is done and what still needs attention.
Review business profile details
Confirm plan and trial or billing state
Connect WhatsApp
Sync templates
Run setup testing
Until setup is complete, some parts of the app stay restricted and you will be guided back to Getting Started.
6. Connect WhatsApp and sync templates
ChatCart uses Meta's official WhatsApp onboarding flow. Before setup finishes, you may see a Meta introduction screen, a permissions screen, phone number setup, and WhatsApp Business asset selection.
- Open the WhatsApp settings page.
- Click Connect WhatsApp via Meta.
- Sign in with the Meta or Facebook account that manages your business.
- Review and approve the permissions needed for WhatsApp messaging.
- Connect or create your WhatsApp Business account.
- Add or verify your business phone number.
- Select your WhatsApp Business assets, then return to ChatCart automatically.
- Use Sync templates and confirm templates appear in the templates section.
Step 1: Sign in with Meta.
Step 2: Grant ChatCart WhatsApp permissions.
Step 3: Add or verify your WhatsApp number.
Step 4: Select your WhatsApp Business assets.
Step 5: Return to ChatCart automatically.
Why does Meta or Facebook open? WhatsApp Business is managed through Meta. ChatCart uses Meta's official onboarding flow so you can securely connect your WhatsApp Business account and number.
Why does ChatCart need permissions? Meta asks you to approve permissions so ChatCart can connect your WhatsApp Business account, sync templates, and send or receive messages for your workspace.
Will ChatCart post on Facebook? No. This step is only used to authorize WhatsApp Business messaging access for your workspace.
Why am I being asked to verify my business or phone number? Meta may ask for verification before setup finishes. This helps confirm the business details and number you want to use.
Do you need developer setup? No. ChatCart guides you through the process without asking you to manage developer IDs.
These steps are important because they unlock real messaging readiness.
7. Run Test Setup
Test Setup is the final validation flow before go-live.
- Check WhatsApp connection
- Check template availability
- Confirm inbound messaging works
- Confirm you can reply from Inbox
8. Go live and start using the app
Once setup is complete, you can go live and start using the main workspace.
Use Inbox
Receive customer messages, reply, assign conversations, and add notes.
Use Orders
Turn conversations into orders and update payment or order status.
Use Reports
Check response time, orders, revenue, and activity.
Use Templates
Send approved template messages when needed.
9. Common questions
I cannot open Inbox or Overview
You may still need to complete Getting Started. Finish onboarding steps first.
Why do I see Facebook or Meta when connecting WhatsApp?
That is expected. WhatsApp Business is managed through Meta, and ChatCart uses Meta's official onboarding flow to connect your business account and phone number securely.
Why does ChatCart need permissions?
Meta asks you to approve permissions so ChatCart can connect your WhatsApp Business account, sync templates, and support workspace messaging.
Will ChatCart post on my Facebook account?
No. The Meta step is only used to authorize WhatsApp Business messaging access.
Why am I being asked to verify my business or phone number?
Meta may ask for verification before setup finishes. This helps confirm the number and business details linked to your WhatsApp Business account.
Do I need developer IDs?
No. ChatCart guides you through the connection flow without asking you to manage developer IDs.
I forgot my password
Use the Forgot password link on the login page to request a reset email.
I selected the wrong plan
Contact support so your plan can be corrected before or after billing, depending on your stage.
